Coping with the crisis

Raccoglie gli interventi di alcuni economisti in a series of seminars organized by the Research and Legislation (AREL) on the causes and consequences of the crisis exploded in 2007 in the United States and the prospects for recovery. Contributions analyzes the course of the crisis from its origins traced to events initiated years before the financial meltdown and the current situation can be observed that political decisions and strategies adopted by banks in the financial crisis has transformed it from a global economic crisis. Each chapter is a section devoted to short-and long-term commitments that can help to recover from the crisis: new criteria for measuring economic performance and social progress, changes in business models of banks, reform of of financial supervision (in order to encourage stability, and consistent with rules ensuring competition, transparency and quality standards).
